First Live Stream Design Broa 1 Scarf

See how this scarf was created in edited excerpt videos at the bottom of the page.

This scarf was designed in a Live Stream Design broadcast, in a live video on Facebook, between 10 PM and 11 PM Eastern Standard Time (USA) on December 30th, 2017. After that, it was uploaded directly into the online store, while the live video was still on, and made available immediately in the Look: Viking! online store.

It was possibly the first live stream design session of its kind, as the founder of Look: Viking did extensive search on the Internet for someone who had been doing something similar, and couldn't find any instance of the similar. This is further outlined on the website www.livestreamdesign.com.

The words "First live stream design session December 30. 2017" are printed on the scarf, next to the Look: Viking! logo to commemorate this.

This is the style that was current during the actual days of Ragnar Lothbrok, Queens Lagertha and Aslaug, and Ragnar's sons Bjorn Ironside, Ivar the Boneless, Ubba, Hvitserk, Halvdan and Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye

Inspiration for this design:

The inspiration for the patterns on this scarf comes from three Viking artisan's objects. The main pattern on the scarf comes from an intricately ornamented 9th century woman's brooch, found in Uppland, Sweden. Inspiration for the border pattern comes from a brooch found in Näshulta, Södermanland, in Sweden, but was further developed by the designer of Look: Viking!. Inspiration for the corners are detail on a brooch found in Silte on the island of Gotland, Sweden, but the designer created the four corner patterns based on that. Below is an image of these inspirations:
